If you are planning on seeing this movie and don't want me to spoil anything for you, stop reading now.

Yea, i saw this afternoon and man I was dissappointed. The thing is, I saw this coming! I heard Singer's idea for this movie as Superman 2.5 and saw some scenes. I just want a "Superman Begins" and move on from that one. Singer made a good movie but not a SUPER-FUCKN-MAN movie!

What's gonna annoy is that everyone I know will think this movie will be awesome, and more sequels from this will be done. Singer will make 2 or 3 more movies. So it will be like 25 years til we'll see the Superman movie we want to see.

I've spoke my peace

Well by then I'll be old enough to play Lex Luthor myself!!

I too would have preferred a new part one. I don't get how this is a 'Superman 2.5' when the whole plot was a do-over of the plot from the first one, right down to the snippets of dialog!

i actually enjoyed it to a degree, i'll agree it has many faults, and like you i first donned my cape at the tender young age of 2 and 3/4s and metaphorically it's not left my back since. but i tried to think of it simply as a film. while a part of me was nit picking and hates SO many aspects of the film the other part still took some pleasure in it ( ... )

So what did you like about it? What exactly did you enjoy to a degree? There was absolutely nothing redeeming.

Yes, let's go to that movie on Friday!

Well I didn't enjoy myself. I sat there waiting, then bored, then scratching my head, then shaking my head, then angry.

My comment is "Yee muthafuckin' haw!" I have such faith in the people making the Spider-Man movies that I have no doubt that Spider-Man 3 is going to rock the house big time. I fuckin' hate Venom and that preview still makes me just shit my pants, wanting to see that movie. I think it's going to be just so good. I remember seeing Spider-Man 2 and how I was a complete 12-year-old all the way through it. It picked me up right as it started, took me away, and didn't put me back down again until the credits rolled. Completely the opposite of Superman ( ... )

For the record, the Superman animated series by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm was the bomb.
Otherwise I agree with you wholeheartedly.
