Wow! This is really starting to come together. There are a few tense shifts in the Miriam section (a couple paragraphsin present tense), but overall it's beautiful. I love the lyrical description - Miriam's husband being a monster in her memory even though he wasn't big, Kit wanting to lose himself in the "high, orderly gray lines of the city," and I especially love Matt thinking of Boston as the place where Tad "wasn't buried."

And they're all so cute and angsty!

The tense thing was really getting to me- I originally wrote this in present tense, which I don't really like, and then had to shift it over. I'll have to go revise again, though I suspect that this is one of those times where I'm not seeing the forest for the trees.

And they are all fun and angsty; I have a feeling that I shouldn't enjoy writing it quite as much as I do. But I do, and that's why I write it. I refuse to believe that there's any point to writing fiction if you don't enjoy it.
