29th November
"The number you have just dialed is currently not in service. Please check with your service provider for more details."

Junsu ended the call and placed the phone back on the table. He then cleared up his working area and left the clinic.

Thoughts of the other night continued to haunt his mind as they persistently did over the past 2 weeks.

He had returned home in the morning to find the mobile phone lying on the carpeted floor, blinking LED indicating a missed call. The discovery lightened the weight in his heart, knowing that the worry of having lost the handset was unfound. However, the next second when he checked through the missed calls list, the sound of his heart and mind crashing and exploding was almost audible to his ears.

Yoochun had called him 40 times. 40 times from midnight to 3am.

He could almost see the other man sitting on the bench, phone in 1 hand and beer can in the other, his face getting more despondent with each unanswered call.

Yoochun could not be found, could not be contacted.

Junsu finally realized how little he knew about this man. He did not know where Yoochun worked or lived. He did not know where Yoochun frequently visited.

His only way of contacting Yoochun was the number in the mobile phone the other had given to him. The only place they shared was the park which Yoochun had brought him to.

A trip to the old lady's place proved fruitless.

Junsu seemed to have lost Yoochun indefinitely.

---

The black Elise parked outside Begin looked familiar. It looks like Yoochun's car. This was another stab to Junsu's heart. The painful realization that he did not know the number plate.

Begin was unusually packed for a Tuesday night. The crowds filled more than half the pub and the music struggled to roar against the boisterous chatter.

Junsu was walking towards his reserved table when the sight in front stopped him dead in his tracks.

Yoochun turned towards the girl in his arms and smacked his lips right onto hers. Using a hand to hold the back of her head, he pressed closer, deepening the kiss.

Junsu found his vision blurring till the large scorching crystal drops spilled over and ran down his cheeks. A pair of cold hands wringed out every drop of blood from his heart, freezing all the cells into dead unfeeling molecules.

Subconsciously, he fished an item out from his pocket and gripped it with a crashing force. Using all his strength, Junsu threw the mobile phone at Yoochun then turned around and ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He did not know what he was running away from for he could no longer feel with his heart.

---

"Ouch!" Right on target, the handset left a bloodied bruise on Yoochun's left temple. His hands let go of the girl immediately and covered the lesion, doubling over in pain.

Steadying himself, he went into the gents to clean up the blood on his hands and face.

Inspecting his wound in the mirror, Yoochun reached into his coat pocket for a handkerchief to dry his hands. However, his fingers came into contact with the smooth acrylic cover of a rectangular weight.

Picking it out,he discovered that it was Junsu's mobile phone. Must have dropped in just now...

Yoochun's brain stopped thinking. A minute later, he realized that he had stopped breathing too. Gulping in as much air as his lungs could possibly manage, Yoochun placed the device back where he found it and dashed out.

He drove along the streets closest to Begin, eyes sweeping the sparse crowds for the man his mind was occupied with. Yet all he saw was the electronic display of the handset's lighted screen.

Flashback
He must have accidentally pressed the dial button when he took the mobile phone into his hand.

'Dialled: Yoochun - 336 times'
End

336 times in 2 weeks. An average of 24 times per day. That means Junsu spent most of his awake, available hours thinking of and trying to contact him.

That means he had successfully walked into Junsu's heart.

Turning the windscreen wipers on, he cursed under his breath. It had began to snow heavily. And Junsu could still be somewhere along the streets...

Was it on instinct? The Elise pulled to a stop outside the tall metal gates of the park.

Yoochun stared in amazement at the scattering of stars. Shiny silver Christmas tree decoration stars hung on the lower branches of the frozen cherry trees. Rays of light from the few streetlamps nearby reflected off them, creating waves of glitter. The falling snow softened any glare of light to a gentle glow.

The old keeper of the park passing Yoochun came to a stop next to him. "Beautiful, isn't it? About 60 stars now. It's done by a young man, around your age but with the face of a child."

Junsu.

"He puts one up each time he comes here. And that's a few times a day. Before dawn, lunch, dinner and late at night, about 11pm to 3am. Must be waiting for someone very important to him. Poor child. Every night he would arrive half drunk then sit under the trees drinking while looking at the stars and crying. 17 cans of beer every night..."

17 cans. I drank 17 cans that night... 11pm to 3am...

"Then his bodyguards would carry him away when he passes out. Heartbreaking sight, I tell you. I hope his wait is worth it. Oh, you don't mind this, do you? I was planning to take them down only when the weather gets warmer and more people are coming to the park."

"No." Straining not to sound choked from the tears he was forcing back. I'll make his wait worth it, I promise.

The old man left Yoochun to 'appreciate the sight'.

---

Walking forward, he approached the bench where Junsu was lying.

The sharp tang of whiskey floated to his nostrils, drawing his attention to the broken bottle of liquor on the ground. Not beer anymore? Have I broken your heart into the shards below you?

Yoochun's eyes traveled back to Junsu's face, seeing the tears still fresh on his lashes and the stains that streamed down his cheeks.

Only when he felt the warmth flowing down, did Yoochun finally realize that he had lost control of the tears rapidly produced by his tear ducts.

A/N:
1.  Yoochun kissed the girl on purpose for Junsu to see, he had seen Junsu coming his way. Yoochun was angry with Junsu for leaving him waiting that night and he still thought that Junsu does not care about him, that is until he sees the number of times Junsu tried to call him.

2. Junsu drinks 17 cans of beer because he counted 17 empty beer cans left behind by Yoochun. Every night he would sit at the same spot during the same time and doing the same thing Yoochun did to feel how Yoochun did while waiting for him.

3. The keeper knows how many cans because he's the one who clears up the rubbish.

4. Yes, Yunho did warn Junsu not to drink but he would not be able to scold Junsu after seeing him so sad.
