Standing at the entrance of Begin, he considered turning to alcoholic solace elsewhere as he stared at the mass of bobbing bodies.
But the head of golden hair amongst the sea of black drew his mind and feet from moving away.
It was quite a surprise to see the eye catching young doctor being left alone to drink in peace.
A mysterious stance brought him to the table occupied by said doctor.
Then the surprise shifted and shot out of those bright black orbs.
"Doctor Kim, pleasure to see you here."
Very unusually, soft cherry red petals spread into an uncertain smile as the light reflected off the blond hair in the light bow.
Although still contemplating on whether it was appropriate to invite the other to join him, Jaejoong's hand automatically lifted to indicate the chair opposite.
"If you don't mind joining me, Chairman Jung."
"It's Yunho. And thank you, Jaejoong."
Both having found their perceived necessary companion, they settled down to whatever other little joy alcohol could add on.
By some unspoken challenge, the 2 men soon started pitting their drinking abilities against each other, each egging the other on to drink more amidst some small talk and laughter.
All the aims of finding a quiet drink earlier in the evening were forgotten as the 2 lonely hearts met in the bustle of the Christmas party crowd and found a little merriment of their own.
The stroke of midnight arrived and Begin erupted into a house of hugs and greetings.
Yunho had said something over the table, but it was lost to the victorious volume of the other patrons.
Shifting his face nearer in hope of catching it the second time round, Jaejoong shouted for the words to be repeated.
"I said, Merry Christmas, Jaejoong!"
Deciding to contribute to the joy of night, he leaned further forward and pressed into the cherry red lips pouting in front of his own.

She opened the door and stepped into the young lawyer's office, placing a few files on the table.
"Aren't you going out to celebrate Christmas?" A failure at trying to hide the concern in his voice.
"I.. will be. Hwan Hee had to work late. I'll be meeting him soon. So if there's nothing else, I'd like to make a move first." They were still not past being awkward despite having worked together for so long.
"Sure. Merry Christmas, Ji Hyun."
"Merry Christmas, Min."
Changmin walked over to the bar counter and poured himself a drink, then sat down on the leather sofa.
Flashback
2 years ago
Graduation should be a happy event, but it was not to be so for this couple.
Seated on the bench facing the sea, Ji Hyun was still the same happy young girl he had know for the past 2 years.
But he knew that he had changed. Choosing revenge over ignorance, he knew that his future was going to be unpredictable from now on,
Although his love for her remains the same, their relationship would change because of the person he was going to become.
Shim Changmin would no longer be the simple, intelligent young man Ji Hyun fell in love with.
He was going to let the cunning devil in him surface for the sake of revenge.
Let it start now.
Stopping by the bench, he did not bother to take the seat next to her or even call out her name.
However, the young lady was elated to see that her love had arrived.
"Changmin-ah, you're finally here."
Brushing off the hands that held on to his arm, he continued to look away from her. "Whoa! I don't think we're close enough for such intimate gestures, are we?"
"Min, what are you talking about? I'm Ji Hyun, and I'm your girlfriend."
"I think I know what your name is. But I'm not sure if I know what you mean by girlfriend. Were we even friends to begin with?"
"I.. What happ..." Confused and brutally cut off by more words of denial.
The tears would not have a chance to fall, he had rehearsed this well and he would succeed. "What happened between us was just some silly free time between 2 willing parties. Now that I'm graduating and going to become a lawyer, I don't see how I could still allow useless women like you by my side."
Knowing that turning around to see her crying would be a temptation to follow, he forced himself to keep his line of sight where it was. "Of course if you really need help financially or whatever, we could meet up ocassionally for a reasonable fee. It would be the same if I had to pay other women for their services."
Finally realizing what he was talking about, Ji Hyun felt dizzy from the shock that hit her so suddenly.
Plucking the chain and pendant from her neck, she threw it at the man whom she had given her heart to, the same man who had broken and thrashed it now.
"I will leave. I will give you what you want, great lawyer."
The gold heart shaped pendant laid on the ground where it had fallen, the glint from it piercing into his eyes and releasing the drops that struggled to push out moments ago.
I'm sorry, Ji Hyun. I can't give you the happiness you deserve. Sorry that you have to find that happiness from someone else.
End
His fingers ran over the chain lightly before stopping to twirl on top of the golden locket.
There was no denying that he still held that face in his heart.
And everyday, her eyes told him that there was still a hint of their former love in hers.
Changmin sighed and swallowed the rest of the brown liquid.
He was thinking of calling Tei out for a drink when his mobile phone rang, the flashing display denoting that the police officer was calling.
"Yes?"
"Jang's making his move. And we're making ours."
"Got it." Finally.

25th December
The transactions had kept him up all night but he felt that it was all worth it. After all, he had just made himself a very rich man and got the best Christmas present ever.
Now was the time to leave, to leave with everything he had and leave the empty shell that Jung Global Enterprise had become.
You made me do this, Yunho. Don't blame me.
Waking So Young up, he made her get ready to leave the house immediately.
"What's the hurry, Ji Dong? It's Christmas morning, I wanted to sleep in!"
"You can sleep all you want when we get to Europe. Let's go!" With a firm grip on her wrist, he pulled the woman into the waiting elevator and pressed the button for the carpark.
"Europe? But I've got nothing with me now. We should go back and pack some stuff." And perhaps I can send a text message to Changmin.
In his anxiety to get away, the voice he usually found pleasing was becoming annoying but still the older man controlled his growing frustration as he almost dragged the lighter body towards his Hyundai. "When we get to Europe, honey, I will buy you everything that you want. Just leave everything here behind and go with me."
Knowing that she was in no position to argue with him now, So Young gave a smile and slotted the seat belt buckle in while thinking of how she could contact the younger man without getting caught.
As soon as the sedan turned out of the apartment's compounds, it was followed by 3 other unmarked cars.
Sensing trouble, Ji Dong picked up speed.
It soon turned into a car chase as the vehicles went on the isolated expressway.
Hoping to slow him down, So Young latched her hands onto his shoulder and begged him to stop, stating fear as the reason.
However, the opposite happened when the occupants of the other cars decided to identify themselves and placed on activated revolving lights.
Stepping hard on the accelerator, the sedan was brought to its maximum speed.
The distance between escapee and pursuers was pulled apart, giving the older man a dash of hope.
Unfortunately for him, an uneven part of the road sent the automobile out of control and it swerved to the left, crashing into a lamp post.
Shaking his head to rid the initial shock, the man turned and found, to his dismay, that his mistress was unconscious and trapped in the passenger seat.
A few seconds wasted in an unfruitful attempt to wake her or pull her out of the seat, he decided to leave alone.
But the door was opened for him and hands came to pull him out roughly, slamming him face down on the bonnet.
"Let go of me! I've done nothing wrong!"
Pushing down harder on the struggling body, Tei leaned in to whisper in a menacing tone. "Nothing wrong? Oh, don't worry, we'll only be charging you for murder too."

27th December
A drop of the melting chocolate ice cream dribbled out of the corner of his lips and he flicked a tongue out to catch it.
No such luck.
Yoochun latched onto the spot, effectively getting a taste of the sweet cream, those soft lips frozen red from the dessert and the very flexible moist muscle.
Their little tussle ensued, with one man trying to pull back and the other refusing to let go of the treasure he caught in his mouth.
Finally letting go when Junsu's face seemed to be turning an interesting shade of blue from the lack of air, the mischievious tease fell back on the pillows and guffawed.
The apple face pouted and glared at his laughing lover. "Park Yoochun! You're a bully!"
"Aw... Come on, Su, you refused to share your ice cream. I was just trying to get a taste of it."
Surprisingly, the tantrum evaporated into thin air. "You..really want some ice cream?"
"Only if you feed me."
"Ah..."
Junsu brought the plastic spoon close but pressed it onto the tip of the other's nose instead, smearing the brown dairy product on his skin.
Having paid his lover back in due, the younger man jumped off the hospital bed before those strong arms could grab him.
"Yah! You naughty little thing! I'm going to cover you in ice cream if I get my hands on you!"
Dropping the paper cup and spoon on the bedside table, the smaller man screamed and ran for the door.
Without any prior notice, the door flew open and Junsu just managed to stop himself from slamming into the woman standing at the doorway.
The slap sounded loud and clear in the spacious room and the pain it delivered to the fair skin had him totally astounded.
"You dirty whore! How dare you seduce my son like this in broad daylight!"
Another blow appeared to follow as she raised her hand.
But it never did arrive as he shut his eyes, waiting for it.
"Yoochun-ah! What are you doing? How could you do this to your own mother?"
Her hand was held in its position by the man who towered over her, stopping it from striking his love again.
"I'm sorry, Omma." However, the limbs remained held up. "What are you still doing here for? Go back to your own room! My mother doesn't want to see you here." Go, baby. We don't need 2 persons to face this, one is enough.
His tone was harsh but the concern in his eyes was not missed.
After the younger man was safely out of his room, Yoochun led his mother to a chair by the bed.
"Yoochun-ah, your father and I have never said anything against what you did all these years, no matter how wild you got outside. But things are different now. You're all grown up and going to get engaged soon. How could you do this to Eunbi? She such a nice girl."
So. And I thought who would dare to rat on me. "I understand, Omma."
"What do you understand? You have to stay away from that thing. I want you to break up with him straight away and never see him again. He's nothing compared to Eunbi!"
He's everything to me. Faking a yawn and stretching his body, Yoochun turned back to the elder woman with a tired smile. "Omma, I know what to do. Don't worry. I'm tired now. You go back and have a good rest too, okay?"
Standing up, he ushered the unwilling woman to the door.
"You... Ah, take care of yourself. And remember my words!"
"Yes, Omma. Bye!"
It should not have been a surprise to see Eunbi waiting for Mrs Park outside the room.
As the 2 women walked down the corridor, the older one could still be heard assuring her younger companion. "Eunbi-ah, don't worry. I'll make sure that my son doesn't do you any wrong. Your engagement will definitely go ahead smoothly. You're the only one fit to be my daughter-in-law..."
What the young woman had done to Junsu the other day was still haunting Yoochun and he waited till they were safely out of sight before dashing over to the other room.
Pushing the door open, he was relieved to find his lover pacing up and down the length of the room.
Arms enveloped each other in a crushing embrace at the knowledge of each other's safety.
"Chun-ah, is everything okay?"
Nothing mattered more as he pressed into the speaking lips, bringing them into a soul comforting kiss.
"Everything's okay, baby. Everything will be okay as long as you're okay."
They held each other close, each happy to feel the other's breath on himself.
"I know what you're worried about. I won't let you worry, baby. I love you too much for that. I'll find a way for us to stay together, I definitely will. Nobody can break us apart, nobody."
Junsu pressed his nose into the crook of the taller man's neck, inhaling the minty scent and basking in the words that just floated into his ears. I trust you, Chunnie. I love you too.

3) Jang stole all the money from the company's account and transferred everything to his own. That's why he kept setting up foreign accounts earlier on(Chapter 16). His charge for murder is based on trying to kill Eru(Chapter 16).
4) I want to clear things up a bit... Yoochun is NOT engaged yet. His parents want him to marry Eunbi but they are only planning for the engagement.
I know there are a lot dirty minds out there trying to imagine what Yoochun would do to a naked ice cream covered Junsu. Ahem! Lalalalalalalala... Yes, I know that it's ridiculous for those 2 to be making so much noise inside a hospital room, but that's still more appropriate than smex, right?
