Netlfix Instant Watcher has several episodes of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" available to watch. I viewed a couple last night as I was relaxing after a grueling day of report-writing.

The premise of MST3K is that a guy named Joel (or later on, Mike) is orbiting the Earth in the "Satellite of Love" and being forced to watch some awful movies for

But they did eventually do Plan 9--kind of! Some of the people from mst3k did Plan 9 live a couple weeks ago and it aired in a couple theatres--I saw it at the Mills. So it wasn't an EPISODE of mst3k, but they did tout it as mst3k. I was surprised myself, because I thought they had said they were never going to touch it, and then they (understandably) made this big deal about it. It was, of course, hilarious :)

Interesting! I wish I'd known -- I would have made it a priority to be there. :-)

It's pretty hard not to start riffing on Plan 9 when you're watching it.

BTW, I recommend the excellent Tim Burton film "Ed Wood" if you haven't see it -- it's one of my favorites. Johnny Depp plays the cross-dressing director Ed Wood, and you get to see him direct several awful, awful movies.
