Personally, I love Bobby Flay's Bar Americain, if not for the homemade potato chips with bleu cheese sauce. Hanger steak is good, as is the duck, as are the desserts, the wine and the atmosphere. Been there once and I loved it.

Sure there are tons of other places to go, but I LOVED celebrating my 30th birthday there.

I've never been there, but it sounds great! I'll have to try it some time.

Yum. I've eaten at his other two places and liked them pretty well. We'll definitely give the menu a look, thanks!

My top NYC restaurants:

Morimoto
WD-50

Uhhhhhhh. I know a lot of lovely two-star places, but those are the only three-star places I frequent.

I think Morimoto sushi is some of the best I've had outside Japan. But of their other entrees and appetizers, some are out of this world, and some are merely good. And they should all be amazing at the prices.

Ninjas come out of the ceiling to serve you food, then disappear into the mists.

I'm not kidding, not even a little.

Seriously, do it. It's dinner AND a show.

Haha, that's awesome. It might not be right for the anniversary, but it's 100% for sure on my list of things to do. Thanks!

She suggests Ritz, Parker House, or Algonquin, but will keep poking around for names, as she put it, "I've been out of circulation for a bit and the city changes so fast!"
