I just got this book, $450 for the 1300 page, two volume set on Amazon, for $40, including shipping.

It's an academic book, and academic books tend to cost a crazy amount, because they don't sell many copies. My feeling is that the reverse might be true, too, however. ;)

I am a sort of major rochester geek, so from that point of view I'd like it, but only if I can pick it up a reasonable price. Good to know that there're no hidden treasures, though...It'll help me resist the impulse.

Do you have the Love Rochester book, or have just looked at it?

Yeah, I was soooo happy. Now if it only doesn't get stolen along with all my other packages lately. :(
