Weekend Fun

I started my day yesterday by looking at a sweet little apartment in a lovely part of town. The owners live in the building and they're very nice people, plus they have furniture and an air conditioner that I can use in the event that they choose me to rent to. Afterward I spoke with my mom on the phone (Happy Mother's Day!), spent an hour or so

Ugh. $1775. I'm hoping I see something else as nice for less this week, or any time soon if they don't choose me for this one. They're planning on making their choice at the end of the week.

Tati has a one-bedroom one block away, only slightly bigger but with a much more useful kitchen and two lofts instead of one, and she pays a tiny bit less. Am hoping her broker can find me a deal like hers. On the other hand, the broker's fee adds up to more than the difference in rent, plus I'd have to buy all my own furniture...
