Stupid &*$%@ Cold

Sep 29, 2005 17:08

Worst timing ever. I've been feeling sort of run down off and on for the past few days, but hadn't worried too much about it. Then last night, as I was washing the fabric for the costume I was planning to make for tonight's shoot with ninjarugrat, it hit me. It doesn't qualify as a horrible cold, really, but it's hard to breathe, I'm coughing a lot, and ( Read more... )

OH no. I was very much looking forward to seeing your "Return" work but definitely take time off to get well. You have written often of being under the weather, are you sure you don't possibly have a low grade infection, etc. that is taxing your immune system?

There will still be more photos, just not right away. Nina still wants to shoot the concept, although it will be too late for her current project, and I should be getting photos from my F4 shoot soon. Plus, more shoots are in the works. I just scheduled one for 10/30.

Actually, I know that I *do* have a sytemic infection, but the medication for it is quite toxic - it can cause liver damage and whatnot - so the doctor is reluctant to prescribe it. He'll do so if continuing to just treat the symptoms doesn't work, though, and indeed it is not working. I'm calling him to make an appointment today. :)

It's a peeve of mine as well, which is why I just couldn't do it. Nina also said you were bringing one of your kids, and while I had been looking forward to meeting her, I know the last thing you need is a sick child.

I hope you all had a wonderful time at the shoot. (Snakes! I'm envious. What kinds do you have?) I look forward to seeing the photos.

And thank you very kindly for the advice. I made a salad of tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers and raw garlic last night for my first dose. :)

I'm starting to feel better already, what with everyone's advice and well wishes. I'm sure I'll be 100% again by Monday, at the latest. ... But oh, for a warm bath! We have a lovely huge shower, but no bathtub. It's the only real drawback to our apartment. :(

That happens to me, too! Not this time, though. I'm already beginning to feel better. I'm sure I'll be back to normal by Monday!

How have you been, beautiful lady?

XOXO

I will definitely let you know. I'd love to see you again! I think the next time I'll be there will be Thanksgiving. It sucks because it's a holiday weekend, but it's good because I'll see all my relatives at once and have the rest of my time mostly free. :D

Wasabi. Nothing like some raw fish smothered in wasabi to stifle the creeping crud.

Fresh pickled ginger doesn't hurt either.

Or sake.

Or miso soup.

Hungry now...

Mmm, wasabi....

Couldn't leave the house, though. Too snuffley and sluggish to go outside in the rain. I did have some sake (you know I always have some here!), and will try to get in a real sushi feast this weekend if at all possible. :D

The sucky bit is that I don't get to go see Tonya for my first latex (!!!) fitting today. :(
