There is absolutely nothing wrong with loving 'the fashions' and not being into SM. Having a thing for dressing up is completely valid. It doesn't have to be accompanied by anything else to be valid. Frankly what irritates me are the people who SAY they are into SM just because they like to dress in latex (or whatever) and get the occasional spanking (Or more likely just carry a crop around and give people the occasional swat.) :P I don't pretend to be an insipid git, so please don't pretend to be me. I can understand both views, but in the end there's nothing to say that anyone who likes latex has to be into S&M. There are also many S&Mers who aren't into latex. You could equally well ask whether people who collect and wear uniforms should automatically be into S&M.

As has been said above, everyone is entitled to their own viewpoint but isn't entitled to impose it upon anyone else!

Exactly. It's akin to the whole judging-a-book-by-its-cover thing. OK, if I see someone in full football kit, I'm going to assume they play football, but other than cases like that ...
