House Passes the Senate "Economic Rescue" PlanI still feel like this is an imperfect piece of legislation. It doesn't address the cause of the problem, but it does triage the wound. You may want to revise your post. The big picutre at the top of the article you linked to is of Bush signing the legislation so I think the chance of a veto is zero or less.

A pundit today made a good point. All the high-and-mighty budgetary discontent from the republican side was assuaged this time around by tacking on a substantial quantity of pork projects. Of course the republicans are quick to point out that it got support from the democrats as well and it's what we'd expect from them. But the change of heart was bigger for the republicans and certainly carries a bigger dose of irony.

Yeah, MSNBC does that -- they'll tack new stuff onto the front of the story and change the title. I kind of like it, as it keeps things up to date, but you're never notified when they do it.
