On Voting

I went early this morning. If people are experiencing long lines, I apparently got lucky.

I shouldn't hide my bias (and couldn't if I wished); I don't think it's a question of if Obama wins, but by how much.

Again, anyone wishing to celebrate, come on down to my place! I'll be marking off a map and comparing it to projections all night.

Pizza, chips, beer, and soda.

Not necessarily in that order.

omg I'm so happy! I wouldn't let myself anticipate a victory. I didn't want the emotional crash and burn if shit head somehow pulled it off. Yay yay yay!

As sacredspud texted me last night, "This is so fucked up. I've never voted for a winner before." It's true -- I still don't quite believe it myself.

This feels like a vindication to me, though. I was looking for an executive who would be gracious in victory, continue promises of bipartisanship, and make a point to let his opponents be heard. At least from his speech, I got all those things. That doesn't mean I won't be watching him like a hawk for the next four years to see how much he delivers. I'd be happy with 30%.
