Monday was a bit strange, then. The assessment day was pretty fun in the end, what with activities involving planning how to survive on the moon and some kind of group co-operation exercise that was deliberately poorly explained so that the organisers could watch a lot of graduates flailing around trying to backstab each other when such an action ( Read more... )

It's never bad to get a little more interview experience, even if you are interviewing with people who want to turn you into a crazy sales barracuda.

Congratulations on graduating, which is awesome. I don't know what a 2.1 degree is, but I will assume that it is British for "smart". Also, congratulations on listening to Gogol Bordello because they're fucking Gogol Bordello.

I hold no grudges. Even though they decided I would die on the moon. I'm still not sure that guns would work with no atmosphere. And why would you bring a life raft on a space ship?

Thanks! A 2.1 is not as good as a first, but is better than a 2.2 or a third.

The first Gogol Bordello song I heard was Start Wearing Purple. While I appreciate that this highlights parallels between the United States and the Roman Empire, what with nobles in those days being the only ones allowed to wear clothes dyed purple (the width of the stripe corresponding to the importance of the noble), I mainly picked up the album because I liked the combination of menacing voices, violins and electric guitars. I think there was an accordian in there too, which is the best musical instrument in the world. So yes.

Thankyou!

I learnt that good salesmen are probably lacking something that makes them good people. While a sweeping generalisation that insults everybody who got a job that day, it is at least a good and tidy sentence that could be pput on a Tshirt with a little editing.
