What's wrong with my not liking the prequels so far and having low expectations for the new one? I haven't been impressed by the predecessors so far, so why should I give the third movie some benefit of the doubt just because it's had a bunch of positive reviews (all which, in my opinion, are nothing more than sucking Lucas' dick)? Even the negative reviews so far have said the film was a vast improvement, but are annoyed by the fact everyone else it making the film out to be a masterpiece - I don't know, but I'd trust their word over some guy who's really only saying "OMFG I LOVE STAR WARS LOL!!!!11!!" and nothing else. Well, that and it carried some of the same flaws as the last two. That does effect my expectations and there's nothing wrong with that.

Also, I liked the originals because they were fun and adventurous. They weren't Shakespeare and it certainly isn't the best movie trilogy of all times, but I was able to enjoy them. That's the key word there: enjoy them. I'm not asking for The Godfather and Citizen Kane, I just want ( ... )

"It was cruel but makes me wonder just how close Anakin and Palpatine get in this film."

uh-oh! :)

My thoughts for the movies thus far:

Phantom Menace: a good set up to show how fuckin' clean and expensive the universe was before the empire took over and turned everything into russian made space shuttles.
I've also come to terms with the fact that Lucas's kids were angry at him for not letting them eat cake for breakfist so he threw in Jar Jar Binks to win their love again.

Attack Of The Clones: ok. That was a BS title if I ever saw one. At first I was "how one earth could Jedi's, JEDI'S, get taken down so easy by robots and really large bugs with guns?!?" then I kinda got over that. The one thing I can't get over is the way Hadden T. Christianson (or whatever) played Anikin as a spoild brat.
But, everything was made better by the Greasy-spoon Diner owner that Obi Wan meets. It's like Friggin' Star Wars ova 'ere!!

Episode 3: I'm still waiting to see Natilie Portman naked so, I'm going. :)
