About a Girl

There is a really big hill in Japan called Fuji. The plan is to go up it at some point in August. On Sunday, I bought a really good pair of hiking boots for this purpose. Check them out:

Rockin'.

I was marking vocabulary tests today. One of my students wrote that he was going to Easter Island for shitseeing (sightseeing). I laughed out loud in the staff room. All the teachers around me wondered if I was okay. I was amazing.

I have been going to Curves for 8 months now and today was the monthly measuring day. Outwardly there has been little to no change. I lost 10 cm off my waist the first month and nothing since. It's enormously frustrating. I go almost every weekday in a normal month (I didn't in May due to various illnesses and being away a few times). I pay about ¥5600 per month. And I'm still buying 4L pants (that's XXXL in Canada). I feel change. It takes more work to get my heartbeat up to the green zone, I can touch my toes (which I have never in my life been able to do), I am able to jog in the in between stations instead of just marching. But what I really want is to be able to wear button up shirts with the buttons actually done up.
