Lately I have been finding it hard to listen to any music with English words. Call me crazy, but there is something comforting about not quite understanding. I don't really know what is being said and I get tangled in the meaning but that is easier for me to deal with than listening to people repeat the same words song after endless song. The drive from mystikduck 's house to mine is anywhere between 15-20 minutes. I have made the drive hundreds of times in the past five and a half years or so. The snow always brings a promise of change. It marks the turning of seasons. The winds that carry it whisper in my ear that maybe things will be better now. "The seasons are changing. So could your circumstances." But the rains of disappointment always come to wash it away, revealing that everything is the same underneath.

In the first week of September Kayo, a friend of mine from Japan, came to visit for about a week. We spent a few days in Cobourg just relaxing and seeing the local sights.
