lol, I just have a terrible grudge against it because my parents decided to do some long-ass video conferencing on Skype and they managed to use up all our bandwidth within TWO DAYS. So now I have no internet, and am reduced to constantly going to the library and stealing the net, so I need something to blame for my misery.
So, if you have any DL limits on your internet, I suggest not using Skype 'cause it sucks up a lottttt of your bandwidth. But if you don't have this problem (and if you don't, I shall be here, green with envy) then Skype is fine to use.
Apparently, you don't need to get it at all, since no one likes it anymore (including myself if we go on the five minutes I spent with it earlier today)! Or at least that is the impression I got reading the other comments to this entry.
Eh, Skype isn't really that popular unless you're big on video chats. That's the only reason I have it, since AIM and MSN's quality are kinda... fail. The actual messaging system on Skype I don't really like. 8/
Yeah, it seemed sort of clunky for the minute I was on it. I guess it is a very cheap way to call long distance (thus, its appeal to large families such as mine), but I think I'll be sticking with my gchat/aim hybrid for the most part.

Is it that bad? I don't plan on using it much (or at all really), but this comment makes me worried.
