Breakfast at Flanagan's - for jack_flanagan

Something smells good was the first thought Jane had as she started to slowly rise from a deep slumber. For a small person, she took up a remarkably large space in the bed, as she was lying on her stomach with her arms and legs spread out as far as they would reach. In her own bed that meant her hands were just dangling over the edges. In Jack's ( Read more... )

Jack nearly overslept which was a rare occurrence for him. He was fortunate to have the gift of an internal clock that woke him consistently, hardly ever needing to set an alarm. As a fail-safe, his cell phone had last minute warnings for his most important responsibilities. Like taking Bruno out for his run in the mornings.

The Martins, an elderly couple that lived on the first floor, were bestowed with a guard dog--courtesy of their kids--when the seniors refused to leave their New York apartment for an assisted living facility in Florida. Bruno was hardly up for the task but the elderly couple fell in love with him all the same.

Mr. Martin could manage the walks until Bruno started reaching maturity. The elder man was too proud to admit otherwise, but his wife was too worried about an injury more severe than to his pride and she stopped Jack one morning as he returned from a morning run ( ... )

Jane opened one eye, grumbled, then closed it again. "You're too awake." She shifted closer to the edge of the bed, though, then finally opened her eyes as she rolled onto her side. She tucked the sheet under her arms to keep herself covered, modesty seeming restored by a good night's sleep.

"What time is it?" She lifted her head and sniffed the air like a cat that smells a newly opened can of tuna. She smelled... sausage, mostly. "You're setting a horrible precedent by doing this. I'm going to get spoiled."

He chuckled at her initial reply. It seemed they finally found an aspect of their relationship that would need work. An early bird and night owl falling madly in love would have their challenges. Jack wasn't bothered, even when Jane decided to cover up. His headboard was a padded leather surface, tall enough for him to lean against at times he worked while in bed. He carefully sat on the open side of bad and sat the tray between them ( ... )

Jane was thinking more about morning breath and how her hair looked than about sex so soon after waking up. She didn't know how he was feeling about what had happened the night before, but she was certainly going to lay low and let him set the tone for the rest of the weekend. She would not say no to more sex, but she wouldn't initiate it either ( ... )

He laughed a little out of breath at her response. Jack felt oddly satiated. From what she was telling him, he didn't need to worry about another round. Jane was also satisfied. He remained laying on his back for a few minutes until they caught their breath then rolled toward her, giving her temple a kiss before slipping away from the bed. "I'm going to dispose of this. Did you want me to start a bath or shower?" he asked simply once upright. The condom in hand was in a careful fist, trusting she knew what he was referring to the disposal of.

Jack was thinking about a bath but didn't make any inference. He remembered her words about falling asleep and he wasn't sure how comfortable Jane would find sharing the space with him. She was petite, and should comfortably lay against him, but his large frame would take up most of the jets. And if she had any plans for romance, the space limited that as well. However, he would gladly make something work.

She pouted a little when he left the bed. She would have been content to lie together and cuddle for a while, but she was getting the impression he was not much of a post-coital cuddler. In the current situation it was fine, she needed some motivation to get out of bed and get going.

"Shower. I'm not a huge fan of baths unless I have a sore muscle I need to relax." She reluctantly rolled out of the bed and followed him to the bathroom, wondering how weird it would be to kick him out for a few minutes first so she could actually use the facilities. Jane was a practical girl, and the sad fact was that she was prone to getting infections. She'd learned quickly after becoming sexually active that a trip to the bathroom after sex was necessary to keep everything below the belt happy and healthy.

"Um... can I have a minute before you get the shower going?"

Her pout was completely missed. Jack considered it second nature to take care of the spent condom. Depending on the situation, he didn't mind laying down again afterward, but wouldn't think of remaining in bed with something to discard in hand. Jane would have to call his attention to it for him to think anything of it.

Just as he should mention wanting to soak in the tub. Yet, he didn't. Jane was given a choice and he would oblige her. When she asked for a minute, Jack couldn't help but look at her with question. Again, he didn't bother to make a big deal. He gave her a nod in agreement before discarding the condom in the trash and exiting. "Feel free to start it whenever you're ready. I have dishes to take care of."

And a kitchen to clean up. He stepped into his boxers while talking to her through the bathroom door. "Call if you need me." Jane was a scientist. He had faith that she would figure out how to start his shower. His voice held the content he felt. Jack was more than satisfied. For the time being.

If he really thought about it, he shouldn't have been surprised that she needed to pee. She hadn't gone since the night before, and was accustomed to going right after waking up. He'd well distracted her from her full bladder but time had run out on that clock.

She closed the door behind him and was taking care of business in less than ten seconds. She barely heard him through the door but thought she understood. She was going to have to argue with him about the dishes later. She couldn't let him continue to cook for her and clean up afterwards. He was her boyfriend, not her personal chef or butler ( ... )

As soon as the door was closed behind them Jane dropped the bag on the floor, set her coffee down on the table and wrapped her arms around Jack's waist. She waggled her eyebrows before pressing her lips to his for an extended but soft kiss.

"It's about time. I've been dying to do that since we left." She had a bit of the 'grass is always greener' syndrome going on. When they were alone in his place and could be as affectionate as they wanted, she desired some fresh air. Once they got outside where there were societal rules to appropriate touching in public, all she wanted to do was get his clothes off again. She found herself in quite the predicament.

She unzipped his coat for him and pushed it back off of his shoulders, deftly catching it behind him before it hit the floor. She then hung it up as she took off her own, then slipped off her shoes with a happy sigh. She loved being in her bare feet (or socked feet, as the case was at that moment).

His brow raised at her hug and kiss before they were out of their coats. It wasn't a negative response. He was reacting to the way she acted as if he were out of reach while they were out. Jack enjoyed the attention regardless of the eccentricity of it. He chuckled softly and hummed appreciatively while they kissed. His arms couldn't wrap snug around her from the grocery bag he carried with coffee also in hand.

"Did you want dessert now?" he asked while she started removing his coat for him. His large hands easily carried both items in one, alternating in the process to rid the winter wear. Something about the look in her eye made Jack wonder if Jane would manage to stop at just their coats. He used his feet to kick off the boots he wore. The heated flooring made it very comfortable to walk around on in socks or barefoot.

She was tempted to tell him that he was all the dessert she needed, but it sounded cheesy even in her head. Instead she shook her head and slid one hand underneath his shirt and up his back, just to feel the softness and heat of his skin.

"I can wait for food. What I can't wait for any more is cuddles. To the couch!" She tugged on his hand and dragged him over to plop down on the sofa.

He only veered slightly to set down the grocery bag and coffee before collapsing on the couch with Jane. Only once comfortably sat on the furniture close to her did Jack realize that he should've kept the bag close. Cuddling led to the need for condoms and his only batch were in the grocery bag. "Are you sure you wouldn't rather laying down in bed? It was a quite tiring trek," he teased while enveloping her in his muscular arms.

Jack couldn't help but chuckle. --After a soft groan at the loss of warmth around his spent cock, of course. She had eaten like a bird before but it seemed that Jane had quite a workout and used up all her reserves. "We had only picked up candy for you. I can fix something quickly."

He rose and made fast work of the used condom while on the way to his bedroom, moreover, the ensuite bathroom within. Jack disposed of the condom in the wastebasket then washed his hands before returning to the sofa for his clothing. "Is there something you want in particular to eat?"

Jane did eat like a bird - a pigeon, one who constantly grazes, eating constantly but not a lot. By the time he returned from the bathroom she'd put her panties back on - and his shirt. And nothing else.

"Why don't we order something in? I'm craving Chinese food." Plus she would end up with leftovers to use for lunch throughout the week. The thought of the week to come soured her mood slightly. She didn't want to leave the perfect world they had created in his apartment. It was the kind of sex-filled weekend Jane had only heard about in stories Darcy told. She would certainly have some stories of her own this time!

She held out her arms for him to come sit with her and hold her. If she could she would stay safe and warm inside them forever.
