I missed my hydro appointment today to go into work for christmas dinner and to the pub with a couple of mates, and while I realise that this could be a bad decision, the fact is I'm struggling and really needed to see everyone and just feel part of it again

Right. Hope getting that all out helped. I think I've already made my feelings clear about the Fran stuff but re Vicky telling you the mistakes you've made, there've been no biggies or ones with huge repercussions from what I've gathered. As long as you don't make them again, they don't matter. Keep at it fella, you've done a grand job keeping yourself together.
