I hope they do release big patches for it like they normally do for the games. Pretty much most of what you've said in this post has made me glad I've not saved up to buy it straight away. Sims 2 sounds a lot better to me... I couldn't play the game without the face editing and everything.

Thanks for making this post, hon :) Here's hoping they sort the game out more.

I hope so too. It seems as if the Game Launcher is supposed to automatically update the game if a new update/patch is available, so I think they'll probably work on more as suggestions come in. The lack of possibilities for face editing is seriously made of suck :(

You're welcome ^^ I'd wait, too...in a couple months, it'll be cheaper to purchase and there will be more updates/custom content for download available.

I'm curious seasea - do you know anyone who plays Sims on the Mac version? My mother's day present was Sims 2 for Mac but I haven't even opened it yet because I only want to play if I can play with the Mars boys and I'm not creative enough to make them. I'm really frustrated actually because I just want to learn to play but don't even know where to start. *sighs*
The family wanted to get me Sims3 instead but doesn't sound like it's worth the money until there is more stuff to go with it?
I actually like your Sims3 Tomo *sorry*.
*sighs emo-ly again*

Personally, I don't know someone who has "The Sims" on a Mac =/ Although I don't think it's any different, except for where the game folders are located ( ... )

You're welcome :D I hope they do, too. When I open the Game Launcher, it keeps telling me that the game is up-to-date, so I assume it's build to update, like software does, and bring changes with it. So far, Sims 2 is definitely better *G*

I set the highest graphic settings possible and it still looked rather...blurry to me. Nothing compared to my settings in Sims 2, where everything's crystal clear. I hardly remember how playing with the default settings is *G* I will have to start the game again to see if the graphics are sharper now, because it keeps yelling at me to restart the game when I change them (Sims 2 never had that problem) but really, it didn't look too fancy. Might be I need a graphic card driver update or something. Will test it out later.

BWAHAHA. I share some of the same sentiments as you about the game. D:

Although, I have to say that you can kind of make some unique looking Sims. Did you see the sliders in CAS for changing the shape of just about everything? You have to click into advanced mode when picking out their nose and eye shapes etc.

The testingcheatsenabled cheat does work. :) Don't add "boolprop" in front, and make sure you type "testingcheatsenabled true" when you do it. I use that to lower or raise the motive bars on my Sims. This way, if they're at work and about to die of hunger, I can just slide their motive bar up to positive and not have to worry. :) I can also alter their friendships with people and make them become best friends automatically. :D

Also, while you're in testingcheatsenabled mode, shift click on your Sim or the mailbox - apparently a bunch of options come up when you do this. I have yet to check it out and see what is available to cheat with. :D Heehee.

I did use the advanced mode - The Sims 3 Tomo is the result of such XD While you can make their faces slimmer, the cheeks simply STAY fat and it annoys the hell out of me LOL.

I didn't add boolprop but still, nothing happened. I clicked on them, I shift-clicked and I didn't get the menu I am used for the testingcheatsenabled at all :( Actually, I didn't get anything unusual, LOL. I am not sure if it depends on the way you type it, because in Sims 2, it doesn't matter for most. I typed testingCheatsEnabled true and he took it without complaint in Sims 3 and I still couldn't do anything about it -_-;;;
