No charges but US may never release Guantánamo Chinese

"Seventeen Chinese prisoners who have been held for nearly seven years in Guantánamo Bay will be informed on Monday that they could spend the rest of their lives behind bars, even though they face no charges and have been told by a judge they should be freed."

The DOD will not allow them to meet with their lawyer unless they are chained to the floor

There are a lot of folks at Gitmo without charges. Many of them got there because the US paid Pakistan forces for each "terrorist" they brought in from Afghanistan. It's buried in the US news.

I've been following this case for a while. I had a feeling they would never be released.
