Breastfeeding for me has been the one thing that has gone right, with a hodge-podge of birth experiences, with endless struggles with every other aspect of my life- breastfeeding for me was the lifesaver. It's also helped me make a bond where I otherwise may not have, I think it's what kept me from being completely alienated from my firstborn while I was "checked out", and I know it is a key reason why I am handling things so well with my newest baby.
I feel closer to my children for it.
And yes, the stopping and relaxing even if it feels frustrating! It keeps me from getting caught up and ignoring my kids for the sake of getting things done. It forces me to take a little time for them.
Yay breastfeeding!
