Hey! I was trying to figure out how they related the midwives back to who this article says they were and, biblically, was having a difficult time with it. I can sort of see why they would say one of them is who they say she is (though I don't know that I agree), but can't find any basis at all for the other. Care to help me out?

I'm actually not sure I'm buying it, either. I like the symbolism, but I don't know enough about the "reason behind the belief" to really say for certain, kwim? This article is the first time I've ever heard about it. I'd have to do some more study before I'd even understand *why* the sages of old felt that way before I could even guess at it's plausibility. Sorry I can't be more help on that one!
