We're realizing that E may occasionally be riding in other people's cars and need an inexpensive, easy to install, booster seat. Note to self, start researching!

I had to finally break down and get a backless booster when it just became too unrealistic to expect others to deal with M's incredibly easy folding high back booster (the Compass booster we LOVE LOVE LOVE.) I contemplated the very pricey and very large Combi but I couldn't justify the cost when it will be used so seldom. After schlepping around town trying every backless we could find, we finally settled on the Graco Backless Turbo Booster. It's definitely not perfect and M still prefers the headrest of the high back, but it's more comfortable than all the others he tried at the store, it has hidden cup/snack holders that won't easily break off, and best of all, it neatly fits in a duffel I bought for $5 at the sporting good store. Again, not ideal, but the best choice for us.

I just hear that these are not very safe. Make sure you look into them well. Tanya
