Sign ups are live
We'll leave sign ups open until November 15th, 2007 after which you'll be sent the name of another community member and a copy of their requests. All we ask of you is that you at least try to comply with their request, and make them something you think they'll like. Remember, you're creating a gift, and we all want gifts to be liked.
Wishlists:
Name: Your nickname, lj name or just a name you like to be called by.
LJ or website: The name of your lj or website -- this can give your partner the chance to find out more about your interests and make your gift more suitable.
E-mail address: A way for the mods to get hold of you.
Things I'd like: Request as many things as you want (remember, the more you list, the more likely you'll get something you want). Be as specific or as general as you'd like.
What I can do: What you can offer to your partner. Styles of fic, genres, ratings, characters, or even whether or not you can do non-fic things such as icons, fanvids, artwork and the like.
What I absolutely CAN'T do: Pretty self-explanatory. Things that for whatever reason, you don't think you'd be capable of doing for your partner, whether through lack of ability, or just distaste.

Sign-ups will run from October 21th-November 15th, 2007. All gifts should be posted between December 24th, 2007 and January 15th, 2008. If for some reason you're unable to post your gift between December 24th and January 15th, please send it to me at liliaeth@hotmail.com, and I'll post it for you.
Once you receive your assignment, you may make "teaser" gifts at any time (but they're completely optional). If you do decide you want to post any small gifts prior to December 24th, don't reveal yourself! Send any teaser gifts and notes for your recipients to me, and I will post them on your behalf.
Requests can be of any kind -- fics, icons, videos, graphics. Just make sure you leave more than one option for your Secret Santa, so they can work in the genre they feel most comfortable with. Remember, these are VIRTUAL gifts. Please, refrain from purchasing anything for your recipient--not everyone has the means to do so, and no one should feel alienated when the real purpose here is to make a gift.
Since this is a new community and we're likely to have a limited number of participants, there's a chance I may not be able to match everyone up perfectly. If you recieve a request you don't think you can do (though I'll try, of course, to avoid giving you anything you mention you feel you can't manage) then let me know on time and I'll see what I can do.
