I dunno Chase, but your move sounds like a good one. It will smooth out more and more as each day passes, I'm sure.

It's been my experience that it's easy to feel like the best solution to relationship issues is just to put more love into them, that any problem is really that your focus on love got twisted up somewhere along the way. But I'm learning that that isn't always the case, and when you're talking about the rest of your life, you've got like 60 years to live and grow and love should never be something that holds you back from that.

Oh damn, I admire your courage! I'm in more or less the same situation myself - living with a passionless guy who is more like a sloth than a human being, and I can't even say I "love him to the moon and back", but my fear of remaining single all my life (and some other embarassing issues) effectively prevent me from doing what I should've done loooong ago. I'm SO glad to see other people acting smarter than that :) Seriously, I'm your fan. I wish you luck, happiness and the much-needed ability to accept the consequences of your choices when/if you start getting second thoughts. Your comment really made my day. YOU ROCK!

I thank you very much, but do excuse me - who are you?

Sorry for not introducing myself first. I read your comment through natural_living Friends section (which I am a member of), and since it provoked such a strong reaction, I didn't hesitate but replied right away. I have to admit that though I'm a long-time lurker, I've only recently started posting, so if I breached LJ netiquette, I humbly apologize.

I'm really proud of you. Very few people have the balls to end a relationship that isn't technically in trouble in order to better themselves. Much, MUCH love to you.

xo.

Good luck!! You are making the right choice I feel. It takes a lot of balls to do what you're doing and not everyone is capable of smacking themselves out of an abysmal stupor and get on with it. Congrats and best of luck!

A very very tough decision. But a good one. I'm proud of ya girllly! I too broke up with my long time boyfriend for some of the same reasons, along with the fact that feelings had just faded though. It's going to be tough, but you can do it! The hardest part is that "untangling", still to this day (and I'm with someone else now) I miss certain aspects about my life and my "schedule" I had with Trevor. It will be tough, but you'll get through it seeing as you know all in all this is the best move for you to make. And good luck on your future and your vet goal!
