I think I understand what you mean by thinking you want to stick with your choice, but not being able to make sure without opening yourself to the possibility that it was the wrong one. I often fear going through that process, because I haven't found a more sophisticated way to do it other than say, "I am unhappy with X" and see if I feel like I'm lying or not. It gets unclear whether I'm actually unhappy, or if I'm just a little bored with being happy/fulfilled in the same way
