I haven’t written a one shot in a while, and have been kind of absent from LJ. Thanks, college. So I decided it was time to write something besides an essay on dead poets. This part of the blog really bothered me, and I had to do something about it:

That was exactly what was missing in the episode...
Love the idea of them having that kind of date :) it suits them.

As for the very big lack of MerDer, I trust Shonda on this one and think that next year will be more interesting for them, Ellen will have more time for the show and all... so let's hope for something good !

Haha, I'd love to write more! MerDer are so much more fun than school. As the season winds down, I always seem to write more one shots, so hopefully I'll be inspired again soon. lol. ;)

Missy i SO LOVE this!!! wow we needed that. i didn't like that derek got off to easily after what he did too. and this is a wonderful continuation to that scene. wish we could have seen this play out. and derek eating alone, even though he was such an ass in this episode, also bothered me. glad you addressed that. you rock!! =D

Yeah, Derek always gets off way too easily. It bugs. :P And even though he was assy, the thought of him eating alone makes me so sad. If Meredith knew, she'd definitely want to eat with him. 'Cause she's an awesome wife and all. ;)

Yeah, I don't like when Derek does stuff like that. I mean, I understand why he did it, but it's so mean for him to pull that crap on Mer, who he really needs on his side right now. But the Whoville scene made up for it. I love married them. ;)

Aww that was SO cute, Melissa. I was actually hoping you'd write something about that ^⁻^ I need fics. The lack of MD is depressing.
As many others, I agree. Derek gets off the hook too easily. Why couldn't they have a conversation about whats bugging him. Yes, Paddy is painfully charming, lol, but that's excuse for letting the scene play out this way.
But, I don't really wanna complain. We got something again, after like 4 episodes? So I take what I get :)

Anyways, amazing job as always. Loved every bit. ♥ Derek eating alone makes me sad, so great job coming up with their date in the OR and at lunch :)

The lack of MerDer lately makes me sad, too. :( Hopefully we'll be seeing more of them in the upcoming episodes. And ITA, it would be great to see them having a conversation about what's bugging him at work. Mer would definitely want to help him out in any way she could.
