So, this is just a post season seven finale one shot. I wanted to attempt to fix what happened between Meredith and Derek in that episode, because I felt somewhat let down by the ending.

Aww thank you, Sina! I'm so glad you enjoyed this! I really wish it wasn't necessary to clean up Shonda's messes either, but I guess we should all be used to that by now. LOL. I just hope MerDer are given a decent SL next season! :)

I echo others in sayin this is what we needed at the end.. not to have to wait a whole 'nother season to get this- that's what made me not so much pissed off at the the finale..just more feeling like, " really?" (& "I hope it rains on Derek's ass"LOL) I will say I loved the last exchange btw. mer/ chris and most of all seeing mer kick ass solo with baby Zola- telling her she was really glad she was here..."*tear*!

Aww, thank you, Lauren! I'm so glad you enjoyed this! And ITA, usually season finales have me freaking out, but this year, I was like "Really? That's how the episode ends?" It felt like a mid-season episode to me, and I honestly don't have many feelings about it. I guess I'm just used to being let down. lol. *If* next season is Ellen and Patrick's last season, I really hope MerDer (and Zola) are given a respectable storyline, and the screen time to suffice it. IMO, we were really gypped this season. But I guess we'll see how that goes...

Wow, I swear I didn't mean to write a novel! I'll stop rambling now.

(PS - I kinda hoped it rained on Derek, too. Hehee.) ;P

it's okay I will continue rambling for you! - I too hope, as alwoays that Mer/der get a more solid SL next season- overall wasn't that bothered by what they were given this season.. I don't know maybe I've been trained by Shonda to over value 30 sec. of screen time an episode, or more likely EP/PD do so much with those 30 seconds that I forget what a rip off it is. ;P

Sorry, I know i'm totally repeating myself but especially given that it's their last season coming up- I swear those two are lightening in a bottle that's she's just sittin' on in favor of like, Teddy (REALLY?) anyway part of me does have hope that she will wake up and give them screen time circa seasons 2/3 hehe, if for no other reason then adoption is something that is very close and personal to Shonda.. but like you said we shall see

Haha, I'm used to being starved for screen time, too. I celebrate when MerDer get scenes that last longer than 30 seconds, because it's just so rare. Getting a respectable storyline with under a minute per episode just isn't possible, which is basically what happened this season. Sigh. =/

And yes, ITA! MerDer bring magic to the screen that no other character/couple brings. To let all of that chemistry go to waste is such a freaking crime. lol. Ellen and Patrick should demand more. (And the occasional porny scene would be nice, too.) ;)
