...sounds like you've got a pretty solid schedule going there... what you refer to as slacking others see as impossible :-D

Ya gotta make it out for Last Chance, right? It's your birthday marathon after all... get well, we'll see you out there soon enough.

Moving to Seattle 10/1; Dawg Dash 10K on 10/12; maybe doing double marathons 11/29-30, maybe just Seattle full.

Planning on Seattle Half and Dawg Dash 10k for sure.

I love doing the http://nwtrailruns.com/ events but haven't really decided much beyond doing the 10k and increasing a mile per week(ish) to get me through half.

and an early "Welcome to Seattle mdf356!" I think you'll love the area. I know I do!

Awesome... I've yet to do any of the NW Trail runs but I've heard good things about the Redmond Watershed Preserve Marathon, as of right now it *might* work into my plans for next year (that's me thinking WAY too far ahead).

My races as planned are...

Seattle Half Marathon (11.30.08)
Jingle Bell Run 5k (12.14.08)

Tacoma City Half Marathon (5.3.09)
Beat the Bridge (5.17.09)
Furry 5k (June 09)
Rock ‘n Roll Seattle Half Marathon (6.29.09)
Danskin Sprint Triathlon (August 09)
Jingle Bell Run 5k (December 09)

Disney Half Marathon (January 2010)
Tacoma City Half Marathon (May 2010)

I'm in a bit of a slump though. :( Even though it's only my second week of training, I'm completely slacking! I'm trying to cut myself some slack 'cause I just started culinary school and it's a shock to the system, but I just can't seem to work up the motivation to go running. :(

WOW! That's planning ahead right there! I thought (kinda, sorta) having a plan up until this time next year was A+ scheduling nut you're all the way through May of '09... awesome!

Good luck with school (one of my coworkers is taking the culinary course at Seattle Central right now) and get runnin' ;-)

Hahaha! Thanks. :D Yeah, I'm a bit of a planning freak (yay for the Virgo in me!). I've gotten into the groove of which races are going to be annual traditions for me so it makes it easier. :)

Disney was something I wanted to run when I first thought of doing a half marathon, but I couldn't afford it last year and this year I didn't get to register in time. So I had to settle for 2010. TCM has a brilliant concept with their half marathons by awarding half of a medal so I wanted to run two of those to complete a medal. :D

Sweet! I'm at South Seattle in the baking program. It's SO taxing, but way more fun than being chained to a desk all day (I was a graphic designer previously). If anything, my knees are getting stronger with all the time I spend on my feet now! ;)
