GREEN (poem)

[seattlesque]

GREEN

from out of a keyhole
too long look-ed through
came an inkling that inkled
(as inklings oft do)

and I knew then I'd lost it
distracted because
of the has that had been
and the never that was

this reflection I share
with the man in my car
it's best not to know
how unhappy you are

I like this poem.

this one, on the other hand, sounds like Dr. Seuss

I think it's the meter that tips things off. There's also the "inkling that inkled", the "has that had been" and the "never that was" -- rings some bells. But it's quite spiff.
