Percy had wasted a weekend doing pretty much nothing. It hadn't necessarily been a bad weekend, just lazy. He'd spent some time in the salle yesterday, working off some frustration and today he was in his room, back to doing nothing

Yeah, Nico had something he felt the need to share and lo, Percy's door was open across the hall from Nico's and now filled with a dark and brooding demigod.
"Oh! You look busy. I should come back." Okay, maybe he didn't actually know if his news was welcome and this was a good excuse to flee.
"That could be for the best. I don't know that I want to be around if the gods get into it here," Nico said, looking a little wary. "I uh, haven't mentioned Luke to my dad."
"Might be better than letting it be a surprise," Percy suggested, nodding. "Can you imagine what it'd be like if he just ran into Hades while taking a walk?"
Hades was totally one to take leisurely walks! Of course, he was.
"Well, it's not like Hermes is gonna show up," Nico pointed out. "I was thinking more along the lines of keeping my dad from drawing attention to his presence." Because that was possible.
Nico grinned, "Or maybe all the other weirdos around town will be distracting enough for everyone!" It wasn't like Nico wanted to try and chit chat with the god of the seas if he could avoid it.
"Yeah, Hades isn't too noticeable," Percy said and then couldn't even keep a straight face as he did. "Not unless he makes himself noticeable. If Mrs. O'Leary can manage, I think your dad can."
Even if Mrs. O'Leary didn't have the whole chariot, god of the Underworld thing going on.

Percy was really glad it would be Nico telling Luke rather than him. He couldn't see Luke taking it that well.
