Percy had wasted a weekend doing pretty much nothing. It hadn't necessarily been a bad weekend, just lazy. He'd spent some time in the salle yesterday, working off some frustration and today he was in his room, back to doing nothing

Yeah, Nico had something he felt the need to share and lo, Percy's door was open across the hall from Nico's and now filled with a dark and brooding demigod.

"Oh! You look busy. I should come back." Okay, maybe he didn't actually know if his news was welcome and this was a good excuse to flee.

"That could be for the best. I don't know that I want to be around if the gods get into it here," Nico said, looking a little wary. "I uh, haven't mentioned Luke to my dad."

"Oooh." Percy looked thoughtful for a minute. "Think he'll react badly? At this point, he just doesn't like the gods period."

Luke hadn't quite reached the levels of betrayal and giving his body to be a vessel for Kronos.

"Maybe he'll just avoid the three of them?"

"Yeah..." That would be nice, but Nico was a little too realistic for that one. "Think I should tell Luke?"

"Might be better than letting it be a surprise," Percy suggested, nodding. "Can you imagine what it'd be like if he just ran into Hades while taking a walk?"

Hades was totally one to take leisurely walks! Of course, he was.

"Right," Nico snorted. "Because they're so the random walk type. I'd rather imagine them meeting up in the Salle."

"I'd tell him."

Percy was really glad it would be Nico telling Luke rather than him. He couldn't see Luke taking it that well.

"What's the worst he's gonna do, right? Whine a little?"

"I don't know. He's still kind of a mystery to me with the reactions," Nico admitted. It was one reason he liked living with the guy.

"You think he'd react badly?" Percy wondered. "Or, I mean, worse than just glaring and sulking a little?"

[deaths_demigod]

"Well, it's not like Hermes is gonna show up," Nico pointed out. "I was thinking more along the lines of keeping my dad from drawing attention to his presence." Because that was possible.

[seaweed_demigod]

"Yeah, that might be..." Percy chuckled a little and shook his head. "Maybe the Mist will help?"

Well, Percy could be hopeful.

Nico grinned, "Or maybe all the other weirdos around town will be distracting enough for everyone!" It wasn't like Nico wanted to try and chit chat with the god of the seas if he could avoid it.

"Yeah, Hades isn't too noticeable," Percy said and then couldn't even keep a straight face as he did. "Not unless he makes himself noticeable. If Mrs. O'Leary can manage, I think your dad can."

Even if Mrs. O'Leary didn't have the whole chariot, god of the Underworld thing going on.

"...maybe I should send Persephone a rainbow, see if she'd be willing to throw me a bone and discourage the whole Helm thing for the weekend?"

"You think your dad would listen?" Percy wondered. "He can be pretty...set on things when he wants to be."

"It's a pipe dream," Nico sighed. He looked around again for a moment. "...it'd be wrong to be excited about him coming, huh?"
