Percy had wasted a weekend doing pretty much nothing. It hadn't necessarily been a bad weekend, just lazy. He'd spent some time in the salle yesterday, working off some frustration and today he was in his room, back to doing nothing

Yeah, Nico had something he felt the need to share and lo, Percy's door was open across the hall from Nico's and now filled with a dark and brooding demigod.

"Oh! You look busy. I should come back." Okay, maybe he didn't actually know if his news was welcome and this was a good excuse to flee.

Nico wasn't fast enough to hide that smile. "Hot sounds about right for that event."

"That was just weird. Weird," Percy said with feeling. "Calypso was nice and if I hadn't had things to do, I could have seen myself staying on that island."

"Who knows," Nico shrugged noncommittally, "maybe you'll head back someday." It was fun to play the 'I know your future' game.

"Don't do that," Percy said, narrowing his eyes not all that seriously at Nico. "You're acting like some fortune teller."

"I'm not the Oracle, don't worry," Nico said. "It's not like I talk in rhyme or something."

"Yeah but you're just as frustrating," Percy replied, making a face. "Not as creepy though. I don't think anyone can be as creepy as the Oracle."

"She's not so bad--" Nico started. And then he remembered they were working in a different era here. "Just kinda mummified!"

"Yeah, she scared the crap outta me when she came out of the attic," Percy said and shuddered. "I mean, talk about a surprise you weren't expecting."
