He never thought he'd see this day.
When the Promised Day came, he thought he'd never see anything again.
But when it was all over, what was wrong had been righted.
Roy was sure his heart literally skipped a beat when the first thing he saw in his hazy vision was his queen, his protector, his love, standing over him with a worried look on her face.
Their world had been a blur afterwards. He didn't become Fuhrer like he had wanted for so many years, but as Chief Adviser to President Armstrong, made sure that he was in a good position to create a better Amestris.
He wasted no time doing what he had wanted, but had been unable to; asking the woman that he had loved for over half his life to marry him.
As Roy stood at the end of the aisle, looking at his soon to be bride standing at the altar, he knew he was looking at an angel from on high. The light from the stained glass windows streamed down upon her, making her glimmer and sparkle in a shroud of perfect, shining light- framing her golden hair, hidden under a veil of pure white.
He took a deep breath, then took a step towards his perfect, sparkling angel, and his new life.
The day that Roy stood at the altar and said his vows to the woman he had loved for so long, he knew the true meaning of the words Promised Day.
