Percy's plans to spend most of his day in the salle had gone by the wayside sometime that morning. He wasn't even that tired but he was lazy. The weekend had been surprising and busy and surprisingly busy so Percy thought he deserved at least one day spent laying around on his bed and listening to music ( Read more... )

The thing about having Percy as his neighbor was that it was just too tempting to check in and see what he's doing. Especially now, considering what had happened over the weekend. Luke knew it was probably a good idea to give them both space to think, and he had. Sort of. One day was space enough, right? Of course it was.

Luke slipped into the room easily enough, closing the door behind him. He had to eye roll at Percy's obliviousness. He was so lucky there weren't any monsters here.

He walked over to the foot of Percy's bed and stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, wondering if Percy would notice him standing there or if he'd have to do something to get his attention.

Hey, Percy had made a career out of being oblivious. He'd been monster free for half his life so not realizing Luke was in the room wasn't too bad, was it? He didn't think so.

Still, he wasn't one to not notice when he was being stared at so when that familiar sensation prickled, he eventually opened an eye slowly and then opened both when he noticed it was just Luke.

Riptide had, at least, been close by in case Luke wasn't Luke. Taking one earbud out, he asked, "How long have you been standing there?"

He hoped it wasn't too long.

"Long enough to learn you make silly faces when you're listening to music," Luke said, smiling. He was kidding. Sort of.

"I do not!" Did he? Percy actually didn't know because he'd never looked at himself in the mirror while listening to music but the argument was immediate.

"You're a damn liar, he said and took the other earbud out. "I don't make faces at all."
