Saw the Hobbit at the midnight showing.
Unsurprisingly, it was very good. Most of the changes are minor, and some of them -- such as giving Radagast, Dwalin, Balin, Fili, and Kili more characterization than they had in the book -- are actually very good. Mild spoilers under the cut:
Thorin's character has been changed slightly (in the books, he was more aloof and less actively hostile to Bilbo, at least initially), but I'm not sure whether or not I approve of Peter Jackson's decision to make Azog the goblin a major character/enemy in the movie.
