I love it when a mathematical model and pure art collide, the results are spectacular. I think that ring is incredible.

Thanks! Actually simpler to make than the Borromean rings a few months back, but better executed IMO.

I took a simple 3-hour silver fusing class about 9 months ago where we made headpins and simple rings. This and the Borromean rings (a few pages back in my journal?) are totally my own design.

I'm teaching myself to solder next week so I can make larger and more 3D pieces. When I have the time, that is :)

p.s. Remember how I don't have depth perception or much dexterity thanks to the pre-transplant nonsense? So why did I take up a hobby which requires working with a torch and twisting objects in 3D? Erm.

Remind me to take some proper macro photos of your stuff next time you're here. :)

Eek, I knew that photo would piss you off. But really that's the best I can do ATM :)

I had a similar thought. The photography is enough to show off how cool the item is, but it doesn't flatter the item and show off whether it's beautiful.

OK fine, not piss you off, more like drive you nuts? Make you wince a bit? Or something like that :)
