After seeing the specialist yesterday, I came home with a nice, shiny new plastic boot. Fortunately, I don't need an actual cast; this one, I can take off for showers and stuff. I get to wear it for a month, and go back in for her to assess how my healing is going

Is it a boot with that wacky pseudo-inflatable padding stuff on the inside, or just a rigid brace?

Hooray for not needing to keep the foot propped and elevated - now it can fit comfortably under a computer desk again, I wager.

It's the inflatable kind. Pretty comfortable as far as it goes. And yeah, being able to sit at my computer again is going quite a ways toward making being stuck at home tolerable.

Yeah, the inflatables are far more comfy.

The real fun is after you don't need it anymore... then you get to try and figure out how to turn it into some kind of prop for Endgame. ;)
