i've decided to go back to doing entries behind an lj cut, because i can't imagine that many people would find my ramblings about moving to new york particularly interesting. it's like a sex and the city blog, except without the interesting bits about sex or buying fancy shoes. being a 20 something in new york is relatively boring, especially on week days.
i biked in manhattan today for the first time. it was pretty terrifying. midtown does not take kindly to bikers, even though i was wearing a suit. but the temping agency i interviewed with was impressed that i was so healthy and all. then they told me there was no point in filling out their paperwork now if i can't start working until june 1st, so i should call them when i can actually start working. now i'm sitting in bryant park, enjoying the free wireless internet, hoping my identity isn't being stolen from me. i have 2 1/2 hours to burn until my next interview with a temp agency. in that time i hope to find a bathroom to use that isn't too gross.
tonight i head back to boston, then i won't be back in new york until the end of may. i'm really looking forward to when i'm here for good, ready to settle, and have a roommate in my apartment so it isn't so empty.
