Wow, I'm a little late with this.
This episode was great. Misha Collins yet again hits it out of the ballpark. I really liked him as Jimmy, he acts more like himself (i.e. not squinting and not speaking in that deep, but cool, voice). I liked the scene where Jimmy sits down with his family after he returns and doesn't say grace. It was such a quiet and simple demonstration of someone who felt used, and, I think, has lost his faith in some respects, and was angry but at that moment was just happy to be with his family. And where he's begging for Castiel to repossess him, man that was heart breaking.
And Sam. Man, things aren't looking good for him. This episode answered the questions I had about how his powers work from the previous episode. Apparently he needs a steady fix of demon blood to stay so powerful. I felt bad for him when he, as the demon put it, "couldn't get it up" (man, that was a low blow). But the most disturbing scene was towards the end where he sucks the demon blood out of that ladies neck and he turns his head towards the camera with blood all over his mouth and then pulls the last demon. He's really hit a new low. But in an odd way the scene is a triumphant one because Sam regains his strength and manages to pull the last demon while saving Jimmy's wife.
The next two episodes look like they are going to be really intense!
P.S. Holy crap (no pun intended) Anna! Dean was right, she does look terrific :-)
P.P.S. Did anyone notice that the scene where Sam says that Jimmy has to say with them until further notice and Sam blocks Jimmy from leaving the hotel room is the scene that Misha Collins was describing to us when he sat down at our table at the convention! Totally awesome!
