A little about me...
I was going over my last couple of posts and found that they're all about Supernatural. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I do stuff other than watch Supernatural. I swear, I really do...
So I figured I'd describe a little about me, but I can't guarantee that Supernatural won't be discussed. And I totally got all these questions from guardianangel_x. Thanks for letting me use them :-)
- My actual name is Matt. I don't think that's news to anyone. The LJ name is a combination of how Sebastian is spelled in Dutch and Slovenian.
- I do like things organized, but you couldn't tell from looking at my room. It looks like my old room in college.
- I started to read fanfiction after I got into watching Gargoyles in the mid 90's. But that's all that I've really read.
- My favorite show is Supernatural (see, I knew it would come up). Show is totally awesome! My other favorite show is Big Love. I watch a lot of NCIS because my father and my brother have it on all the time
- As if this really needed to be stated, I am a dork. Or a nerd. I've been called both and don't know which one is appropriate.
- My favorite movies are (in no particular order): Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Star Wars: The Empire
Strikes Back, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Jurassic Park, Superbad, Anchorman, Schindler's List, Sin City.. - Favorite food? Hmmm....I like lots of food, it's hard to pin down one as my favorite. Being vegan, it's most likely something green.
- My favorite ice cream (I really don't eat ice cream, I eat a soy based ice "cream") flavor is chocolate. It's really good! So good, that I can't keep it on the house, otherwise I end up eating it all within a few hours after coming home from the store.
- I'm all over the place with music. I'm not devoted to a particular band, I just like individual songs. Some of them are: You Shook Me All Night Long (AC/DC), What A Wonderful World (cover by Joey Ramone), God Only Knows (The Beach Boys), This Years Love (David Grey), First Time (Life House), Time Bomb (Rancid), Morning Light (Truman), Carry On, Wayward Son (Kansas), This Aint A Scene, It's An Arms Race (Fallout Boy).
- My favorite books include: Cat's Craddle (Kurt Vonnegut), Seven Days in May (Fletcher Knebel & Charles W. Bailey II), The Last Temptation of Christ (Nikos Kazantzakis) Capers in the Churchyard: Animal Rights
Activism in the Age of Terror (Lee Hall), Siddhartha (Hermann Hesse), the Bunnicula series (James Howe), The Nurture Assumption (Judith Rich Harris), The Art of Empowerment: Stories and Strategies for Diabetes Educators (Bob Andersen EdD & Martha Funnell MS,RN,CDE), Nations Have the Right to Kill: Hitler, the Holocaust and the War (Richard Koenigsberg, PhD - Work and School stuff: I have my bachelors in Experimental Psychology, which means I went to school to learn about research methodology and statistics (i.e. stuff that puts most people to sleep). At my last job, I worked on a lot of public health projects to prevent or manage chronic diseases (e.g. heart disease, diabetes). My next job is going to be about improving the quality of care that veterans receive at the end of their lives.
- My favorite color is blue. I have so many blue clothes that the dryer lint is actually blue. I started wearing blue a lot after this cute girl in 10th grade said I looked nice in it.
- Hmmm....I don't get into fandom this way, so I don't have any pairings that I like.
- Favorite fandom: Gee wiz, could it be Supernatural? This is the only fandom where I have actually really wanted to get involved with conventions and stuff.
- Miscellaneous stuff: When I'm not working, I'm either exercising, donating blood, or food shopping.
