Summary: Jongin always wakes up at 9 AM.

Jongin always wakes up at 9 AM. He doesn't know why, but it's the same time each morning. Sometimes, his alarm is set to 9:15 AM, and he lies awake in bed until the familiar sounds of HyunA's "Bubble Pop" start playing. Other times, it's Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby" at 10 AM. If he has to wake up early, he wakes up early. It's just that he doesn't ever sleep past 9 AM. He never sleeps after 9 AM. It's always been like that for him. Doesn't matter if it's the morning after a one night stand and he has to get out, or if it's just a regular morning and he has nothing to do. Each time is different, though. As he opens his eyes at 9 AM today, though, something is definitely different.
The warm feeling at his side should be a dead giveaway, but he turns his head to the side to confirm. Usually, there would be a pile of his blankets, shoved to the side in the middle of the night. Today, though, he sees a mess of brown hair, snoring softly next to him with one arm thrown across his eyes, the other arm stretched out on Jongin's stomach. Yeah, no. This was different.
Jongin closes his eyes, trying to make sure that this isn't happened. When he opens them, he glances around. Okay, those light blue walls were not his. That dresser was most definitely not his. And those jeans and boxers on the floor.. well, those were his.
Okay. Well. It was still only 9 AM in the morning. He could grab his clothes and run out like he usually did. The slight movement that Jongin makes while trying to get out of the bed silently is what causes a pair of wide eyes to blink open and stare at him.
"Good morning, Jongin." The soft voice carries across the room, and Jongin has to take a few seconds to gather his thoughts.
He pauses, about to retrieve his clothes, before slowly turning around to face the boy on the bed. "K-Kyungsoo..." He trails off as Kyungsoo keeps staring at him with those wide eyes.
"It's only..." Kyungsoo squints at the clock hanging on his wall that Jongin had never noticed. "It's only 9 AM. You should come back to bed."
Jongin is about to blurt out an explanation that he never ever sleeps after 9 AM, but the hopeful look on Kyungsoo's face makes him rethink, and he wordlessly slides back under the covers next to Kyungsoo.
As he feels a hand grab his, he makes the quick decision to wrap his unoccupied arm around Kyungsoo's shoulders and hug him closer.
"Stay," Kyungsoo mumbles into his chest. As Jongin feels himself drifting back to sleep, even though it's not the right time, he feels Kyungsoo squeeze his hand softly.
Maybe, Jongin thinks, just maybe he can sleep past 9 AM. If it means that he can be with Kyungsoo more, then yes.
