Sam wasn't quite sure why Dean kept the DVD the archangel gave them so long ago. Just like he wasn't sure why he pulled it back out when he was cleaning the trunk of the Impala. He didn't know if it was to just hear the Archangel's voice or whatever but... maybe it'd give him a good distraction from his own personal Angel buddy that's been non stop

Only one person would have that dvd and watched it all the way to completion.
A rustle of wind and worn boot heels click down on the asphalt a few feet away from Sam. Tall, complicated, wonderfully bright Sam. He shifts a bit awkwardly.
"Can you believe it was snubbed by the Academy?"
Lame. Completely lame. Well done, Messenger.

"Gabriel?" he asked nervously, looking from him to the computer screen quickly, pretty sure he was just hallucinating once again. He looked over his shoulder to his bed where Lucifer sat with almost the same surprised expression on his face.
Don't look at me, Sammy, started Lucifer. My hands are clean on this one. So Sam looked back to the Angel standing in his motel room, nervous, scared and heart beat going a million miles an hour.

Very odd.
Even odder the way he was looking over his shoulder at a big ol' patch of nothing. But hey, he's not going to let that spoil the moment. Hands in his pockets, Gabriel shifted back on his heels. "Heya kiddo. Long time no see."
A tentative, slightly nervous smile. "Always knew you'd wind up watching it all the way until the end."

The moment Gabe mentioned the video, Sam went to hit the mute on his computer, slamming the lid shut after the sound was turned off. "I... I thought something might be at the end," he said quietly, still not sure if he was still alone in the room. "Is that really you? We thought... I mean... Lucifer, he..."
Sam couldn't even say it. Something pulled at his chest when he even thought about it too much.
