Life was pretty good. Even though it came at a huge price, his angel sacrificing his grace, life was better now. Sure Sam still went on hunts with his brother but he had a home now. A home that wasn't a hole in the ground. A home with someone he loved. The house that was now occupied by a hunter, an ex-archangel and their two dogs. (Dogs were much ( Read more... )

Gabriel was still getting acclimated to life as a human. There were little frustrations, like the fact he had to work out regularly with Sam or he’d put on weight. Eating regular food wasn’t so bad. He liked steaks, chicken, Sam had even talked him into a salad now and then. There were other powers he missed more than he could really define. His wings. That sense of connection to everything around him ( ... )

Sam looked over his shoulder as his golden eyed lover with sleep tussled hair came up to him in his shirt. The taller man chuckled softly. Seeing Gabe in his clothes especially after last night's activities was something special. There was something about seeing the person you love in your clothes after a long night spent in each other's arms.

On the counter next to the stove was a bottle of chocolate sauce and marshmellow creme next, joined by an egg mixture and loaf of bread. He had two pans going at once but could keep up with them easily. Domesticity has settled well on the younger Winchester.

"Hey, sleepy head," he said at the kiss. "We're having s'more french toast and Canadian bacon." Not the healthiest breakfast imaginable but there was honeydew melon in the fridge and Sam loved himself some honeydew.

It was another clear indication that what he'd done was the right thing. Sam was relaxed, happy and at ease. The haunted look in his eyes, the tight set of his shoulders, it was all gone in favor of easier smiles and longer hugs. He also looked ridiculously at home and comfortable in a kitchen.

"Swear I'm gonna buy you an apron and pearls, Sammikins." Gabriel yawned hugely before the menu kicked in. Smores french toast. Canadian bacon. Sweet and salty, his two favorites.

Leaning in, he raised up to brush another kiss to his shoulder. "Marry me."

When Sam turned around to get something out of the drawer, he'd see that Gabriel, in fact, wasn't kidding. The recently turned human archangel was on bended knee in the kitchen. "I, ah, I mean it Sam. Marry me."

Sam's laughter filled the kitchen at the Suzie homemaker joke. "Don't know if Donna Reed would approve of me moving in on her turf."

The second kiss to his shoulder made him blush slightly, laughing it of. "Yeah, make me your house wife?" Sam just assumed new human was joking, turning to get a spatula out of a drawer and caught Gabe down on one knee and he stopped dead in his tracks.

Que the puppy eyes. His heart stopped and he had to remember how to breathe.

"Wha..." he started, eyes locked on the other's. "Gabe... Are... Are you serious?" Sam's expression was somewhere between confusion, fear and joy at the same time. He didn't know where this was coming from.
