Sam slipped out of the passenger seat of Dee's car and onto wobbly legs. One of his hips popped in quiet annoyance for sitting for so long. Well, they were home now so it could stop complaining. Sam stretched a little and closed the car door behind him

That was when she looked over her shoulder at Sam. "So...it's like your guys own personal bat cave." Dee smiles at him before turning her head back around and looks over the room more. "This is actually pretty damn cool."

Her fingertips drag along the wood of one of the tables in the room as she walks around it to stand in front of Sam. "I'm glad that you wanted to share this place with me. Hope you know that." Dee kisses his lips lightly before resting back on her heels. "On with the tour?"

His smile was even softer when she kissed him, his hand coming up to rest gently on her upper arm. "Yeah, sure," he said as he pushed himself off of the wall to show her the next room. He lead her back behind the stairs to the infirmary.
"This is where we mend our wounds," he said, again, leaning up against a wall to rest. Why the hell was he so damn tired?

"Dee, all I do is rest. I'm just tired of being tired," he said, feeling a tickle in the back of his throat. He cleared his throat before continuing. "But I have faith in Kevin and... and then the job'll be over and... it'll be okay. I'll be okay, I promise."
He smiled up at her. She worried so much about him and he loved her for it. "You are and I thank you for it. You...you really don't need to hang out here with me though. I mean, you're welcome to stay but... yeah..."

Maybe he'd tell her... eventually.
"I'll always need you around," he said before taking in another breath to continue. Too bad that other breath had different plans. Another tickle in the back of his throat sent him into a coughing fit. He shot up in bed as he covered his mouth, praying that no blood would make an appearance.
But it did anyway. He hacked and coughed, moving to lean over the side of the bed, one hand gripping tight to the comforter. He could already taste the blood on his tongue, knowing when he pulled his hand away there would be more than a little blood there.

"Thank you," he breathed, leaning over to press his forehead against her's. He letnhis eyes slip shut. "I'm so sorry."
After everything, all the holding back and pushing away... after all that he finally lets her close and now he's gonna die. He finally lets himself have something good and now he's gonna lose it and hurt her so much more than he could have ever done if he was never with her.

He ran his thumb over her knuckles in a soothing manner, trying to comfort her as best as he could right now. He could see the tears and he knew how much this was and still could hurt her. He just didn't know who else to ask for help. Dean certainly wouldn't let him go, he already knew that but... Dee would. Dee would love him enough to let him go. At least he hoped she would.
