I have studied swordplay for upwards of twenty years and I have only been bested once. My sword is for hire, if you can get a hold of me. I am currently privateering as the captian of the ship Revenge that sails through many of the ports in the region of Europe

Not by any set of standards.

But I certainly have other ways to occupy my time. But I suppose by the question that you might be?

I am also a captain in His Majesty's Navy.

However did you make the acquaintance of so many pirates?

It's a very long story. But one for all the ages, to be sure.

If you get the chance, it would be nice to swap stories with you.

Does asking you to teach one how to fight with a sword count?

I would suppose so, but why would one such as yourself wish to learn the rather blunt sport of fencing?

I'd answer that, but the only reason I can come up with is 'because'. And I have a feeling you want more of an answer than that.
