[The more things changed, the more they stayed the same. It was a stupid saying, Linkara knew, but there was still some truth to it. Their location had changed drastically, but monsters attacking and the world going to hell was definitely the Same Old Stuff.
So he'd done what had, during his time in not!Chicago, become the usual: put up a post, called for people to put their heads together, and leaned against the nearest convenient structure - in this case, the Bean itself - to wait and try to piece things together on his own in the meantime, and there was a lot to figure out.
