I loved that article too. So many people are giving her shit for it but I thought it was great. I laughed at the thought of J.K. rocking out to Stupid Girls though.
Oh yay, J.K. Rowling. Pink was on Oprah the other day, and she said this:
"I don't think being sexy is a bad thing, I just don't think sexy and smart is oil and water."
I don't know, I think smart women are way fucking sexier than weird bone-creature women. Give me curves and brains and writer's callouses! I would rather have a blissfully smart girl than a dumbed-down, "I'll die if I don't lose three more pounds" toothpick. It's not so much the skinny thing anyways, it's the mindset. I personally know very smart girls who pretend to be stupid for guys because they think it makes them cute and popular and loved. It gets them attention and it's sickening. And they think that the skinnier they get, the prettier they are. One of my old friends is a size zero. Her waist does not exist. Apparently, neither does her self-worth.
I'm not saying I'm smart or anything like that, but I'm not what you call a weird boned-creature. -Grin- But I do like my ladies with meat of some sort on their bones.
Have I met you before, or did you just stumble across my journal? It's not a promblem, I just wanted to know. -Pets-
