I just can't even begin to understand the thought process that goes in to something like that... I mean, seriously... I hope this person goes to jail for a good chunk of time. I'm thinking that being convicted of battery will do quite a bit to put a quick end to her future as a nurse.

One thing to note on, the reason she claims IUDs to be a form of abortion is the same that far right conservatives often claim any hormonal contraceptive to be abortion. While most of the time, contraception prevents fertilization some forms, including IUDs, also effect the lining of the uterus to make it more difficult/impossible for a fertilized egg to implant. For those who believe life begins at conception, this causes a conflict (never mind the fact that the majority of fertilized eggs don't implant anyways and most the time these contraceptives prevent fertilization in the first place.)
