I have such a problem with sleep. I stay up late and sleep through classes too often. Even if I go to bed early and get up on time, I still feel exhausted. Like I could sleep all day. During the holidays my mom tries to put me back on a "normal schedule" but even after I start doing it, I feel the same way. In childhood, like you said, I remember waking up with energy at 6am on Saturday morning and watching cartoons on low since my mom was still asleep. I dunno what the issue is. I don't even drink caffeine that much and make a point to not drink it in the evening.
